Ok...I was only like 6 years old or so >.< I went to the rest room, must have spent quite some time in there and when I came out, my table was gone.
Being 6, this seemed like a pretty big deal and I had to ask a server to help me find the stupid thing. :)
I have been to the Space Needle restaurant several times throughout my life and I have to agree with other posts, the restaurant is just not what it should be. It isn't that the food is bad, but it isn't that great, especially for the price. I could cook a better meal blindfolded and with one hand tied behind my back and I suspect that most people with any cooking interest at all would probably say the same thing.
The view is spectacular though...the elevator ride is fun and I think it is definitely worth while to go at least once during your time in Seattle.
I give it a rating of three stars but here's how I really break it down:
The elevator and view experience is a 5 but the restaurant is a 1.5 star :)

My dishwasher just suddenly gave up the ghost...we have 5 kids and both work long, long hours so doing dishes by hand is out of the question these days. Time to find a new dishwasher! yeah! bleh...We are monetarily challenged despite our educations and hard work so the adventure begins.
We check out Conklin's first...very nice salesman. Super helpful and I know they usually have good prices but not what I am looking for.
Next, internet shopping...*theatrical sigh*
Then, Home Depot...very nice sales man and the washer we want...a lot more expensive than we were hoping. Have prices gone up THAT much in only 10 years? (the last time I bought a dishwasher)
Lowes...no thank you. I love hardware stores in general but Lowes was NOT on top of things for this purchase at this time...mediocre sales man as well.
Sears...nice sales guy but no dice.
Then we find The Maytag Store...!
Great sales lady...super knowledgeable and very, very nice. They HAVE the dishwasher we wanted at Home Depot BUT $50 cheaper! In the color we want? NO WAY! But YES!
Very good, fast and pleasant experience...not a single complaint:)

I have had great experiences here and one bad one...I have done a lot of business with them though and overall, they meet my needs and do it well.
I was just in there the other day and while I did not end up buying from them, the salesman was excellent. No pressure, knowledgeable and cute too! What's not to like? hehe Ok...getting a little silly today but seriously...my overall experience has been good at Conklin's. They usually have great prices and a large selection. They can also usually order bits and parts of existing appliances.

I just picked up my new A-Frame from Stanford Signs today and it is beautiful!
They had the best prices I could find on short notice and while they told me that they were running a bit slower than usual, it turns out that this doesn't mean weeks but only a few days (like 4 >.<).
The girls who answer the phone and some of the emails are knowledgeable. They emailed me when they thought there might be a problem and while I was still waiting for my designer to get back to me with ideas to fix the problem, they emailed me two viable options maintaining some of the details that I did not want to lose at no extra charge.
I am very pleased with my service and the only reason that I do not give them a perfect 5 star is because it was kind of hard finding them but really, I should blame this more on Expedia map services than Stanford:)

Vince does great work at great prices. He has done a lot of work for my mother and on the times I have gone with her, he has always been friendly and. He doesn't give up on a problem until he has it figured out nor does he pretend that it is something it's not just to make a buck.
He primarily works on VW's but he also works on other kinds (my mom's is a Pontiac Grand Am).
Can't say enough good things about Autopia!

My husband and I have been going to O'Houlies Pub for the last several years. We are big karaoke freaks (not big drinkers) so we only go sometime during the Thursday through Sunday karaoke run.
Deanna, the karaoke hostess is great! She has an amazing voice, knows how to keep the line straight, is friendly and just all around good fun. The ambiance has changed a bit since they expanded the bar. The regulars aren't quite so regular anymore as there has been an influx of newer, younger blood but they do still come around.
Pool tables can be hard to get because they are usually full. The staff is usually pretty good although sometimes you gotta wonder what's going on in their heads.
I have been to more spectacular bars with bigger karaoke menus, bigger speaker systems, etc...but Deanna keeps me coming back to O'Houlies because she makes it feel like home.

I just got back from taking three of my daughters to Cousins Hair Design in Mountlake Terrace and WOW! They all look like rock stars! My oldest likes things funky so rich, glossy black with pink highlights reigned supreme. My middle daughter wanted to lighten up and look gorgeous so she had some highlights put in and layers added that really provided a lot of good movement to her style. She couldn't quit looking in the mirror! My next younger daughter would only say that she wanted 'v's' cut into her hair and bangs >.< That's a little hard to interpret but Liz did a great job and made her look amazing.
I would highly recommend Liz but from what I could see from the other stylists, I think they would all be a good bet.
Liz rocks, Cousins rocks and conveniently located between Everett and Seattle, definitely check them out!
