Well.. live and learn.. When you receive your larger than life bill think about the view not the meal you just ate. You are paying for the view and the experience.
It is pretty disorienting to eat in a spinning needle (full turn in one hour) yet it is fun if you have never done it.

They offer all sorts of interesting collectible arifacts ranging from comics to collectible cards to movie posters and scripts.
They have some very cool stuff that you won't find elsewhere.
Its a fun place to go and just look around.
I have never seen another merchant such as Golden Age.

I couldn't believe just how cool some of the outfits were in this place.
Not just pop tees but full outfits, jackets, shoes!
The tees I must say were super cool. Picture a Ramones tee for your 1yr old... or my favorite, a 'poopyhead' tee of our president.
Pop Tots is also equipped with a collection vintage clothing from all hippest years of your life.
If you are in the U-District.. This place is definitely worth checking out!

Not a fun place to go as a parent. The majority of the clothing sold here is very gothic and creepy.

I have actually bought clothes there for my daugter so it aint all bad but I do hate to go in there.
Its dark and they typically play music consisting of people screaming. If thats your cup of tea.. go at it!

"The Queen" is a little dead
This film was not quite what I expected. I went in and was expecting a film about the life of Queen Elizabeth II.

This film was not quite what I expected. I went in and was expecting a film about the life of Queen Elizabeth II.
While the film does certainly revolve around QEII, this is a story strictly about how the Royal family dealt with Princess Diana's death of whom they despised.
The acting was amazing, at times I felt though I was watching it all unfold inside the palace. I also felt that I learned quite a bit about how just things currently work over there (it appears Tony Blair prime minister pretty much runs the show, yet gives them a chance(s) to chime in).
All in all though with this said.. I felt there just wasnt enough plot to sustain itself as far as a theatrical release. It seemed more appropriate as an HBO/SHO film.
I keep seeing buzz about this being a potential Best of 2006 but I personally cannot fathom this as being a nominee. Though must say I wouldnt be surprised to see an actor recognized for their contributions in the film.

This witty film is produced by Jon Favreau who also brought us the wonderful Swingers.
I am such a huge fan of Will Ferrell and downright proud of him for nailing this timeless holiday classic (and Anchorman and Old School of course).
I have seen where they plan to run Elf for 24 hours straight over the holidays and Im sure Ill be watching for at least 4 of those hours.
If you havent yet made it around to getting Elfed you should make it a point to checking it out.
It is hillarious and suitable for the whole family!

The prices on many of the items which I purchased seemed almost 'unreal' and get this included not only free next day shipping.. but because it was over $50 they had a promotion whereas they sent me a mini-fridge with a retail price of $59 (the value is debatable).
