This 18-hole golf course is fun to play. They have 18 holes for putting -- a rather interesting concept and lovely landscaping. A tough course but not too bad for beginners. The course is in good condition. The restaurant has salads, sandwiches and the usual snack goods. Plenty of restrooms, not too hard to walk.

The Wailua Family Restaurant is located at the former site of a Sizzler's where I dined often the last time I was in Kauai. The owner's have kept a similar menu and the fantastic salad bar with hot items, fruit, salad makings, several types of soups etc. The salad bar is the only thing I can recommend. Admittedly, we were one of the few customers dining at 3pm, but our service wasn't very good and our chicken entree we ordered wasn't very tasty and needed to be cooked more. Unfortunately, we never saw a waitress to make that happen. I hope other visitors will find a different experience because that salad bar is a real treat.

We always check Antique Liquidator's when looking for wood furniture -- hutches, tables, book cases, etc. They may not have what we're looking for, but when they do, they often give us a good deal. They are very helpful about loading onto your car, they do clean up and fixing on the furniture, they get some oddball items -- church pews, carved and painted cabinets, copper items. Plan on an hour or two to view everything.

Using this backpack, I can switch shoulders with ease or carry it by hand. A standard water bottle sold from the major water company's fits in a loop at the back for easy access. Inside, there are numerous pockets to store money, credit cards, papers, keys, cell phones, maps. There are two pockets on each side so you can organize your gear with ease. I've used it to carry my lunch, camera, binoculars, and several books along with above miscellanea. I use it as my carry on bag during flights also since I can carry my expensive irreplaceable objects inside.

Leki Makalu Walking Sticks are made from ltitanium and so are light weight. I bought a pair and my husband and I each use one of the two. I searched through REI's offerings to find a pair where each piece could be used by either hand. We both love them since they help to take the strain off your knees when hiking. They carry easy in a back pack, folding down to about 18 inches in length. All of the walking sticks are rather pricy so getting two for the price of one seemed like a fabulous deal.

You're allowed to set a default, preferred frame job on each of your pieces of art. It's a cool idea for a web site.

A friend of mine I met on the web has a cool site that showcases the work of his bands and his poetry. Music downloads are available for free and play via MS Media. The links section of the web site is super, it lists many American, British, Portugese, German and other progressive rock bands as well as a few of their interconnections. I've had the best luck looking at their music by clicking on the Daymoon MySpace link, the music window pops up with music playing live.

The Science Fiction Poetry web site is an interesting place to go to to learn about the science fiction poetry organization. Membership includes several 6 copies of Star*Line Journal, and the Dwarf Stars and Rhysling Award poetry collections. Since joining I've had read some some great poetry--all focused on speculative subjects. The stars, people, Gods, mythology, vampires, the full realm. Members get to vote on their favorites, too. Which gets some kudos back to the writers.

Well, we finally made our choice for a new tv and the concensus here at Judy's Book was for a Sony so we went with the 26" HDTV. It was light enough for my husband to carry with ease and has a good crisp picture with brilliant color. The control is easy to use. They provide a neat hole in back of the stand that you use to screw your tv into the stand you purchase. This is a great deal since a lot of insurance companies are dropping earthquake coverage. We pretty much just plugged it in and turned it on to get it to work.
