Most people don't have time to research new bands but still want to be kept abreast of all the good music that continually emerges. I simply let KEXP do what they do. I listen, and very often I find a band that I like, and I don't have to do anything!
KEXP is a radio station which is a part of the UW and funded by listeners and Paul Allen, among others. Their website offers a playlist, an archive of the previous 2 weeks of programming, an archive of studio performances, and local event listings. I just want to say that KEXP is one of Seattle's best features. If Seattle lost this radio station, the streets would be littered with suicides, or at least the severely depressed.

In fact, our insurance company trusts them so much they don't require two estimates if one of them is with Huling. The shop is part of a huge dealership in West Seattle. You don't need an appointment for an estimate. I would recommend them to anyone.

I purchased my car from Carter Subaru and am bound to get my service done through them. My purchasing experience was excellent, but the service department has been disappointing. I went in for an oil change and they noted that I was leaking tranny fluid. This repair was covered under my warranty, so I went ahead and let them replace the head-gasket. After I got my car back, on the way home I noticed that at high RPM's a squealing noise was emitted from my engine. So later, when I took it in for a 60k maintenance, I mentioned it. They said they would take a look and later I got a call telling me that it needed a bearing replacement. I went ahead and paid the extra 75 buck and now I still get the squealing noise, which they said they fixed. What can you do? Write a bad review guess.

The place is friendly, knowledgeable and casual. Conveniently located on Capital Hill, the stylists are always up to date on the latest hair styles and are always excited to try something new and fun.
Walk ins can usually get in relatively quickly, but I recommend making an appointment in advance if possible. If not, the wait will be made bearable by lively conversation and great music that is always playing in the shop.

even about obscure authors. The selection is a little limited, but they are very willing to point you to another book store if they don't have what you're looking for. And hey, it ain't Barnes and Noble, so they have that going for them!

I read the British printing of "The Wasp Factory" at my wife's behest. She had never heard of Iain Banks, let alone his famous first novel. But after finding it in a used book store she soon became enthralled with it. I begrudgingly picked the book up and read some of the reviews it quotes. All of the critics noted a mix of disgust, horror, and yet a respect for the writing prowess of Banks. I was intrigued. I read it.
Ok, so it was really gross. I'll just say there is a lot of animal torture. But the curious brand of adolescent witchcraft it portrays (in first person) was just plain delicious, if a little gamey.

What is nice about Elephant carwash, besides the big pink elephant neon sign, is that it is a full-service carwash that works fast. You can get anything from an exterior wash with a human-hand wipe-down for around $16.00, all the way up to the platinum package, which costs about $45.00. The platinum package gets your vinyl, tires, rims, floor, etc cleaned. Basically, the 'full meal deal' of carwashes.
My recommendation, if you are getting the Platinum package at least, is to make it obvious you are going to tip them, and personally inspect the car for any missed spots. There are always spots they missed. As long as you are willing to take an active part in the process, you can get your car cleaned really well for $50.00 and a half and hour of your time.

This is a wonderful Dental Practice! Both dentists, Dr. Gray and Dr. Lo are friendly and wonderful about putting slightly nervous patients at ease. The staff is friendly and efficient, and almost always right on time. The spacious waiting room with a large fish tank and courtesy phone guarantee any wait you may have will go by quickly. There is nothing worse than a bad dentist, so when you find a good one stick with them!

Or, you can research your beer online and then come in with a list. They will most likely be stocked with what you need.
