This very small, highly intimate, local theater located in Fremont/Walling on Stone Way in Seattle is a great place to see a play. It’s pretty low budget, but the actors are top quality. Apparently, they mostly do productions of one act plays by people like Tennessee Williams, Thornton Wilder, A.A. Milne, etc. I saw the Vagina Monologues there recently and it was very intense mostly due to the small size of the theater and the number of people packed into it. You couldn’t help but be drawn in to the drama. It was quite an experience and I would recommend the theater to anybody. I’ve also heard it’s a good place to be trained in the theatrical arts.

I know the executive director for Open Adoption. Both of her children were adopted through the agency and they had a wonderful experience with open adoption. If you are seriously thinking about adopting, you should look into open adoptions to see what your options are. It is an interesting path.
As their website says, Open Adoption is a private, non-profit adoption agency with a progressive approach to building healthy families. Their agency focuses on facilitating child-centered open adoptions in which birthparents and adoptive families create healthy long-term relationships that address the ongoing needs of children.
Their website is http://www.openadopt.org/index.html

Here are the scenarios for how you could get to the airport:
Friend – cheap, convenient, and fast but not always an option
Bus – very cheap, but not usually very convenient, and pretty slow
Taxi or Towncar – very convenient and fast, but also very expensive
Shuttle Express Shared Van – convenient, fairly inexpensive, but usually pretty time consuming
To use Shuttle Express if you want to go to the airport, you call them up or sign on to the website. You tell them your flight information and your address and then they tell you when the shared van will be by to pick you up. It’s usually a window of time (30 mins or so) during which you have to watch and be ready to go. It’s also usually about 4 hours before your flight. I only live 20 minutes from the airport so leaving 4 hours ahead of time is very unnecessary and a waste of time. It usually costs about $20 or $30, though you can save money the more people you have in your party (it’s less per person that way). They do guarantee to get you to the airport on time however, which some people might like.
To take the Shuttle Express from Seatac airport to home, you go to the reservation counter down by the taxi stands and put your name in. Then you wait and wait and wait (depending on the volume of people who are also waiting) until your name is called. They try to group people into vans by where your drop off location is. Then you get in the van and hope that you aren’t the last person to get off, because, if you are, it could take you several hours to get home. This can be very very frustrating.
The drivers have all been nice in my experience (which is considerable), although a lot of them have been new to Seattle and were NOT familiar with the streets at all. Once, on my way home from the airport in the middle of the night, the driver asked me and the 5 other passengers to figure out amongst ourselves what order we should be dropped off in based on where we all live. This was really frustrating because we were all tired and angry and everyone obviously wanted to get off first. That was the last time I’ve taken the Shuttle Express because it was such an irritating experience. It’s now worth it to me to pay the extra $20 for a taxi, or deal with the slowness of the bus (if I don’t have a ton of luggage), or inconvenience a friend (if it’s not in the very early morning or late night).
Overall, the Shuttle Express can be useful, but I wouldn’t recommend it as your main mode of transportation to and from the airport (unless you’re just in Seattle for a conference or something, in which case it’s nice to get door to door service and cheaper than a taxi).

If you have ever driven on I-90 from Boston to Seattle, then you have see the signs for Wall Drug. They start a few hundred miles before you even get close to the place. Billboard advertising must be pretty cheap out there or something. It is a little ridiculous. Anyway, I've never seen anything like this place. It isn't anything really. It is just a huge tourist stop for no reason at all. There is nothing there except these stores selling bumper stickers that say Wall Drug. Pretty weird.

I’m not sure if I put this in the right category, but I wanted to let people know about the Underground Tour. I thought that the Tour was only okay. It wasn’t super fun. They really pack people in to the tour and it was not cheap (make sure to bring your student i.d. if you want to get the student discount). The tour guides make really corny jokes and get (understandably) annoyed when people don’t laugh. The best part of the whole thing was hearing the background and history of Seattle and the Pioneer Square area. However, I could have gotten this out of reading a book. The actual physical tour, where they take you underground, did not have much to offer. There was not much to see and I would not recommend this for claustrophobic people.

This well organized shop has a ton of well maintained, very nice retro items. This includes gorgeously unique clothing for men and women, fantastic old style furniture, and a bunch of miscellaneous smaller things like old postcards, random jewelry, stamps, etc. Examples of the clothing they carry are old high quality men’s black tie suits, fancy retro dresses, tons of shoes, and lots of regular clothing as well. Most of the items are very high quality and not necessarily cheap. I’ve even seen a cool 1950’s mint condition motorcycle in there. You just never know what you’ll find. It’s a good place to stop by on a regular basis to see what’s new.

Pacific Rim Auto, located in Fremont/Wallingford on Stone Way, seems to be an honest and friendly group of mechanics. They are pretty expensive ($80 per hour for my Subaru), but they took a lot of time to explain details and options to me. They also detail your car every time you bring it in (or they did for me) which is nice (but really probably unnecessary). They specialize in certain imports, like Subaru. I'd like to go somewhere a bit cheaper, but it is conveniently located, the employees are very friendly, and the free loaner cars are a nice touch.

I had to call AAA to get my car towed from where it broke down in the middle of the road out by Redmond Town Center and they sent Quality Towing to get me. The driver was quick to get to me and very friendly. He gave me and my car a lift to the mechanic and helped me work with the mechanic to get my car in and where it needed to be. It was also very affordable, the cheapest tow I've ever gotten, though maybe that is thanks to AAA. I was very pleased with this service and would use them again, even without AAA. If you are stuck on the 520 and need a tow, I would definitely call this prompt and courteous tow service.
