Having been disappointed with many BBQ locations, I was pleasantly surprised by Jones BBQ. I ate at the Crossroads (Bellevue) location and the ribs were moist and tasty. Their spicy BBQ sauce was delicious and the Sweet Potato Pie was really excellent, which is very hard for sweet potato pie! I ordered a combo and it cost about $20, but it was easily enough food for two people. The beans were delicious. Can't wait to try again to check out the collard greens.

If you're looking for something in particular, they'll get it for you. I've been sent their by other bookstores to find stuff when I had something particular in mind. When I'm browsing, they still have the best selection around and their staff picks section is nice, because the staff fills out placards describing what they picked and why, instead of just setting them on a ?Staff Picks" shelf. It's also a good place to buy UW logo gear and gifts. I used to like it more before they gutted the camera/music section, but then again, it's a book store. My only hesitation is that parking on the Ave is a pain and the crowds at this store can be annoying.

Wow. The sauce is the best BBQ sauce in the area. I've tried just about every BBQ place I've come across since moving here 12 years ago and am usually disappointed. A great thing about this place is it's consistent. Their Pig Wings are to die for. They are fried in a garlicky crust, they are whole wing instead of the little half-wings at most places so an order of 6 is a large meal. Then they are drenched in that delicious, tangy BBQ sauce. They have the best soul food sides I've had in the city. I just wish they had hush puppies. Delicious Collard Greens, Black-Eyed Peas and Rice, Red Beans and Rice, Cornbread....everything is at least good, if not very good. I have never had a pulled pork sandwich that can compare to theirs and every person I've brought agrees on that. Some things are a bargain, like the 6pc Pigwings for 6.50 but some things can get expensive. The pulled pork sandwich is 6.50, but if you spike it with a hot link and add cole slaw, it's ten bucks! The plates are very reasonable and their chicken has a delicious, smokey flavor throughout the meat. They run about 12-13 bucks for the chicken or ribs dinners that include a side and cornbread. Their southern iced tea used to be good, but they serve it frozen like a slushy now for some reason...still tastes like iced tea from the south (very sweet), but I have to let it melt first. Try it out if you like BBQ!

Hard Sell

I felt cheap and used after the install (and broke). They did have the courtesy to call before they were late. But then came on the late side of the new time they gave me. Had to pay a stairs charge after assisting the guy with carrying it down the stairs. Was told I would have to wait for the next day if I didn't help carry it down the stairs! Not exactly a company I will do business with again.
The technician was nice enough.

If you like Indian Food and live in Seattle, you must try Tandoor. I have converted several fans of Cedar's (one block away) because the food is as good or better and the service is friendly (as opposed to Cedar's!). I also have never had a wait to be seated. The place doesn't look like much, but it's not dirty either. The food is all outstanding and the people that run it fall over themselves with friendliness. Try it and let me know what you think.
P.S.: When deciding on a spiciness level, they go 1-5, but will do a 6 or 7 for hardcore pepper eaters...be careful, 6 is really, really hot, and 7 is uneatable!

You know what? My wife and I are regular seafood diners and love oysters. We've gone around to oyster bars and seafood restaurants all over the region, and for the best value, this is the place to go. We gone to places like Shucker's and such, and found that while some places have a slightly better selection (not many places), almost none can compare with the prices for fresh oysters as this large chain. Some of the main courses are not always the best, but it is consistent and I know that I can rely on a good meal. The two times anything was wrong, they've fixed it, PLUS comp'ed us that portion of the meal. Great value.
