There's a wonderful sushi selection, including Hawaiian Spam musubu.
I used to teach ESL, and Uwajimaya was a favourite of many of the Pacific Rim students who wanted a taste of home.
The food court and Kinokinaya Books are both worth a visit in their own right.

I first went to the World Spice Merchant looking for ingredients for a medieval recipe I was trying to make. They have *everything*! I especially like their pre-blended spices. Some of my favourites are the Mayan cocoa with chili powder, the Japanese rice seasonings, and the Pacific seafood rub. Spice really *does* bring variety to life!

Somewhat smaller than either PCC or Whole Foods, but still very good! They've got all my favourite healthy alternatives (Annie's, Blue Sky, Burt's Bees, etc.) and very nice produce. The deli also offers a good variety of tasty sandwiches and salads. If you're looking for something they don't carry, they do take requests. It's also nice to be supporting a local business, rather than the usual big chains! If you're interested in becoming a Co-Op Member, ask them about the installment plan. I'm paying $5 at a time instead of plunking down the whole cost at once, which has been a big help!

I've bought their French butter keeper for myself, my sister, and my mom, and all three of us swear by it!
The designs are pretty and simple, and the pottery is sturdy and well-made.
I even phoned in the middle of the Christmas rush, and got friendly and prompt help with my order.

I've been dealing with Ted Katterheinrich at this firm. He is highly professional, gives good, solid advice, and is prompt in his replies to calls or correspondence.
He was highly recommended to me by a family friend in Montana, and I've been very impressed.
I'm sure that all of the lawyers at the firm are equally competent and reliable.

The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are about average.
I'd have given Wicked Cellars a four-star rating, but the shop itself is very small, and it's hard to squeeze through the aisles or ask the staff a question without bumping into other patrons.
Overall, a great store!

I've studied at Master Pierce's for several years, and I really enjoy it.
I haven't been at the Lynwood location in quite some time, because I've been attending classes at a Marysville branch which is unfortunately closing at the end of this month.
Master Pierce is a Seventh-Dan blackbelt, and he really knows his stuff. It's impressive to watch him demonstrate a technique or form. All of the instructors are excellent, and there's a strong feeling of community at the school. Everyone is encouraged to progress at his/her own pace, and respect for instructors and fellow students is considered a must.
I'd have given Master Pierce's a Four-Star rating except that he strongly emphasizes attendance at tournaments, which isn't something that interests me.

I've attended Edmonds UMC for about 5 years now. It's a very warm, welcoming, and active church. There are ample opportunities to get involved, whatever your talents and interests, but nobody's pushy if you just want to attend Sunday services.
There are three ministers who take turns preaching, and each brings his/her unique style and perspective.
There are two services each week (9:00 and 10:30). Childcare is available, and the youth run an espresso bar in the basement.
It's a tradition that first-time visitors are given a flower, so please do raise your hand!
