I remembered that The Frontier Room is YUMMY! I don't know if you're familiar with the Frontier Room of the days of yore: heavy pours and lots of late night action (even *I* got kicked out of that place) but it was redone a few years ago and now the food is excellent.
They serve BBQ and all the 'fixins' that go along with it. It's nothing fancy but man, is it good! (And I'm originally from the midwest!) If you're in the mood for some meat, try this place.

There are many great seafood restaurants with beautiful views (and if you want to stay on the city side of the bay, I agree with the review on Ray's Boathouse) but I think the Seattle skyline view from Salty's is absolutely fabulous, especially at night.
And there's not only a view. The food is great to boot and every time I've been there the service has been right on.
P.S. If you're ever looking for a seafood brunch, I've not yet found any seafood restaurant that could beat the buffet at Salty's. It's *awesome*!

I've only been here once and if you can get past the smoke (deep fat frying and nicotine hits) these wings are pretty good. The business is in a converted garage and their goals are wings + a good time. That said, chicken wings kind of freak me out, so I'm definitely *not* a connoisseur, but you should at least give them a try.
Enjoy!

Imo's, a St. Louis area institution, has THE BEST thin crust (yes, people in the midwest like to eat cracker thin crust) pizza. The secret, they use provel cheese. YUM! The house salad dressing is also a winner, as are the toasted ravioli. (Leave it to people in MO to deep fat fry just about anything.) This address is Granite City, but they are located all over the St. Louis metro. area.

The "Dinette" is indeed Hannibal's hometown restaurant. The "Maid-Rites", pork tenderloin sandwiches, homemade onion rings and homemade rootbeer are D-licious. It's in a great location, right in the heart of the Mark Twain tourist area, which is probably why you're there in the first place, so be sure to stop in.

Nothing fancy here, but it's worth every penny. The pie is thin crust with a pizza sauce that has a bold tomato taste that isn't too sweet or spicy. The steak sandwich, (that isn't steak at all - it's a seasoned ground beef patty) is also a treat, topped with the pizza sauce, cheese and banana peppers on a crusty bun. Yummy!

Let there be....GAS!
O.K. Maybe I'm easily excited but this is the best news I've discovered since I saw Nick & Nora pajamas at Target.
The downtown Costco location now has gas. No more driving north to get your car...
