Decent American Food
Ate at the Ikon Grill yesterday with my Aunt Vera. She loved the decor -- which I also think is cool. Lots of blown glass -- chiouly (sp?) glass perhaps. Anyways -- very cool place.

Food was decent -- not great. The NY SIrloin was very good but my flank steak wasn't. Service was just ok.
I'd be willing to go back but wouldn't rush back.

Marlai thai is the place to eat ginger beef
Marlai thai is very good thai food for those living in the laurelhurst community. I really like the ginger beef. Worth checking out if you get tired of the crowds at uvillage.

Good not great restuarant
Had dinner there last night and had some good food. The tuna poke in particular was excellent. But -- for the price it's just a 7. I expected more.

Wild Ginger has become an institution. It's AWESOME. The food is excellent. It's a great place for tourists, companies, groups, couples and indivuals. They're known fo rtheir delicious satays of all kinds. The decor is lovely, service is not the best, and the price is expensive but overall you can't go wrong at this restaurant.
Also, I think they're able to host large group dinners -- not sure but this is the place I'd check first.

Excellent Seafood
This is a fabulous seafood restaurant...albeit a bit pricey. Had the best piece of swordfish anywhere in seattle. Great oysters. Nice atmosphere and a super margarita on the rocks.

Coastal kitchen is a fine restaurant. I particularly like their breakfasts and brunches -- just solid breakfast food. The coffee cake is made fresh and is out of this world but is definately not part of the zone diet. For dinner, the restaurant is good not great. I like that they rotate their menu frequently and choose a different coastal region to focus on as the inspiration for their chef's specials. And their food is fine....it's just always seems to be missing that something that makes you go that was an Awesome meal. Hope that makes sense. I like this place...just don't love it.

I go to their buffet for lunch on a semi-regular basis and think the food is quite good by Seattle Indian food standards. The decor isn't great and it's neither cheap nor expensive --I go there because the food is good. Worth going if you like indian food.

While Quiznos is simply a fast food sub shop -- I think they do that pretty well. They have more selection than Subway -- and aren't as cheap. Nonetheless, it's a decent place for a quick bite to eat.

Fortunately, Jai Thai is above mediocre. It's not great but good. It's a fun place. Good setting. Solid food. Service can vary. Overall, one of the better Thai restaurants in Seattle.
