If you are looking for a real good Italian place to eat withoutout the "chain" restaurant, look no further. There is a liitle place called Marzano in Parkland in the PLU area. It is located in a house but don't let this steer you away. Inside you will find a nice enviroment for a romantic dinner or even room for a slightly bigger gathering of friends and fun. The food is just absolutely delicious! They have a great wine list also. You have to try the Bruschetta and my favorite entree is the Chicken Parmesean. This is no ordinary chicken parm, it is like nothing you've had before. Give it a try!

Let me introduce you to a great Mexican familiy owed restaurant, TAQUERIA EL GUADALAJARA. This is located near Stadium high school. This place is great for big or small groups. The food is absolutely delicious and the portions will definetaly fill you up. The owners are working hard to make this place a great place for the family and also for fun on a Fri and Sat night. If you like Mexican and want something other than a standard chain restaurant, this is a place to try.

If you are looking for a great night of fun and food you need to check out The Melting Pot! This is my favorite place to eat and I go for every birthday! The food is really good but the experience is what makes this place a favorite. You start off with lovely cheese fondue served with bread, apples, and vegies to dip. When you move on to the main entree, you pick from different kinds of boils depending on what kind of meat you are eating and your preferences. You really can't go wrong. Then you will have no choice but to splurge for dessert. The many different kinds of chocolate fondues are the best part! The atmosphere is just great and even the bar is a great place to sit and have a happy with friends!

If you are looking for good food and a nice atmoshere to take the family try the Brickyard Bar and Grill. This place a huge. The food is just delicious and you will be full leaving. They have a nice bar area which is fun to sit and have a relaxing happy hour. The kids will love the milkshakes too. Give some of our locally owed businesses a try and you won't be disapointed.

I have only tried the spaghetti. The first time it was just ok and went back a few weeks later and it seamed the cook may have had a bad day so waited and went back 4 months later and it was bad enough that when we got home we ate about 4 or 5 bites and tossed it out, it had no flavor and we have never gone back. But I have heard from others that the rest of the food is great, them I have heard "oh - I never eat the spaghetti, only the other things". So that's just my opinion.

This is the kind of place where the wait staff knows customers by name and college students fit in right next to sports teams or families. Food is fairly typical bar grub and local beers are so-so, but the atmosphere is fun and festive. Wednesday nights the bar hosts a low-tech "Trivia Night," providing friendly intellectual competition between teams.

Wild Orchid takes an interesting spin on Thai food -- And it's AWESOME! It is not so much a kid place - more adults and dates, etc.
I am not a real Thai food kind of person, my husband is. But I have to admit, this is one of our favorite date places. It opened up just recently, and has quite a following now.
They don't take reservations, but are usually pretty good at seating quickly.

Uhg.. We had such high hopes for this place. It's located in the very cool and popular Proctor District - and has a prime location.
This place was so bad, we couldn't figure out how they could even stay open -- except for just having been there FOREVER!
It really looks and feels like a Denny's in there - and even has the service to match. No atmosphere, slow wait staff, disappointing meals.
Just skip it and go anywhere else in that area.

We love the food here -- but you need to be ready for REAL Mexican food. None of that "Tex-Mex" stuff here (go across the street to Chevy's for that). The burritos rock! They are huge and packed full! They also have our favorite meat: al pastor (seasoned pork) .. and not every place has that.
Next time you're in the mood for some take-out Mexican ... grease and all ... give this place a try!

The food is great = many choices of pizza, different crusts, great toppings, cool sauces! Basically, your imagination will be all that limits you!
The service was wonderful. Nieven (sp?) and Laura are the owners - and employees! - they are warm and friendly.
This is a wonderful place to go for a casual pizza or sandwich (all the breads are homemade!). Because it's new, there is rarely a crowd -- but beware! Once the news spreads, this place will be busy! There's not a whole lot of seating, but this just makes it more intimate and fun!
They don't deliver, but take-out is a great option!
