I would say this toy store is the best in the country, but I'm from Canada, and anytime I get down to Seattle, I HAVE to stop there. It's better than anything I've been too. It has everything and anything a toy store should have. It has model horses, stuffies, board games galore, puzzles, books, awesome gag gifts, dollys, puppets, and anythings else you can thing of. My first trip there was when I was 19!, and I was still like an awestruck child. "Two stories of toys, you have to be kidding?!" This place is paradise for anyone with a young heart and a young mind! Check it out for sure!!!

Magic Mouse Toys is an eclectic and wonderful little toy shop located on the corner of Yesler and 1st Ave in Seattle. This three level shop is packed full of unique and classic toys alike. Both parent and child can spend hours perusing the aisles and playing with their variety! Adults will find amusement in some of their political propaganda that they have out by the register, which, while it may offend some, is something that you wouldn't find in a larger, more corporate toy store! They have nearly anything that you could imagine and their staff is friendly and knowledgeable! My favorite find there was a card feature illustrations from "Where the Wild Things Are" a classic children's book :)

You haven't been to a toy store until you've been to this one. This is definintely a "magical" experience. They have the super hard to find toys, and the ones that kids will actually learn from and play with well into their later years, and the younger kids, cousins and grandkids will find them useful too. These are the toys that have been around for ages and that work, along with some much newer ones that get the imagination rolling....expensive but can you put a price on your child's imagination?

This is THE place for unique, educational toys - you know the kind: old fashioned wooden puzzles, books, puppets, REAL toys. Nothing here needs batteries or has an on/off switch, and I like that. I like it a lot! You need an imagination to enjoy these toys and you can't help but be transported back to your childhood upon crossing the threshold of the Magic Mouse. Good clean FUN!

Walk in to this two story building and you'll feel like a kid again. Since FAO Schwartz bit the big one this is really the best place to go for all your children-type needs. Parking is not easy, since it's right in Pioneer Square, but if you're in for an afternoon of shopping you may as well go pick up a new Monopoly or Scrabble board for your not-so-young friends.

I don’t have kids but I love going to this toy store. There are so many intelligent toys here: chemistry sets, science sets, models, puzzles, books. Even the colouring books are intelligent. Instead of Barbie, you have Pagan Heroes from the 12th Century AD colouring books. Great book selection too. Multi-level store that I spend at least an hour in every time I go there. It’s always fun seeing what new and neat things they have. Large selection of Hello Kitty items. No Barbie here, though. Fun gag-gifts. They always seem to be hiring, so if you like playing with toys, check out the front window to see if they’re looking for “elves”. Staff is friendly and helpful and they definitely don’t mind you playing with the toys while you look around. Located in Pioneer Square, across the street from the Pergola on 1st Ave S.
