I love the Paramount. There's not a bad seat in the house - the acoustics are terrific, regardless of where you're sitting and the theater itself is really beautiful. It's really lavishly restored and it feels luxurios and intimate all at the same time. The theatre is in a good location - head to the Oceanaire for an after theatre meal that will knock your socks off!

Being a Seattle-ite all my life I have always taken great pleasure in my visits to The Paramount Theatre. The high-class entertainment venue is breath-taking and the theatre is big, but every seat is a pretty good one. The entertainment seasons are always very diverse... right now they're playing Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat. My favorite will always be The Phantom of the Opera I saw at the theatre a few years ago when it was touring. Opened my eyes to musical theatre completely. The last concert I saw there was the fabulous Moody Blues, even though I was the youngest in the audience! ;-)
Great space, great entertainment. Check the local newspapers for upcoming shows and ticket prices.

This is the best place in Seattle to see a concert or a play. When you step through the building you will feel as though you have stepped back into time for a night at the theatre. The lobby and theater itself are gorgeous. Well worth the splurge of concert tickets itself. The only downside is parking which can be difficult downtown. There are several nearby lots including those at Pacific Place. However be prepared to walk a few blocks to save a couple dollars on parking.

I've not only had the pleasure of living within walking distance of The Paramount, but also seeing many shows and performances there.
The building is refurbished and very art-deco-ish. The space is large enough to hold people, but not so gigantic that you feel like you're in a stadium.
I like to go there just because it's so old. It really makes you feel like you're a part of something, and the neon "PARAMOUNT" sign out front along the marquis just makes it that much more old-style.

I have seen several concerts at the Paramount Theatre, and I feel it is one of the best places to see a concert in Seattle. The sound is outstanding, the feel is intimate and the theater is beautiful. A couple of the acts I have seen elsewhere as well and preferred this venue. Many acts should consider performing here instead of at Key Arena. Coming to this theater is a memorable experience.
