I am just preparing to change my cell phone service to Cingular from T-Mobile....I've had T-Mobile for 2 years and it has worked VERY well for me in my travels and is pretty rock steady here in the Seattle area... Their customer service has been as good as can be expected...Why then am I even thinking of switching?... I am in the strangest position...I am in a "perfect coverage area"..ASIDE from the one city block I reside on....yes...down the block...Great coverage...Up the block...fabulous coverage...in my house or yard....NO COVERAGE...not one bar...a dead spot in coverage...they have had me change phones..no difference...they have checked and re-checked...it is simply a dead spot with no option to enhance!! I just can't abide with this any longer...no cell phone at home presents many problems in my life...so unless I want to climb the 120 ft Douglas Fir tree in my front yard every time I want to answer the phone...( this gets old fast!!)..I'm stuck with trying to find better service...and now I'm finding out that so many people are unhappy with Cingular...Sprint was my other choice...they have given me good coverage in the past in Seattle but not so good in other parts of the country...and I left them because of horrid customer service...So if anyone is considering T-Mobile...check those coverage areas carefully....and as for me.....2 tin cans and a string work just as well as what I have at my house right now....

I've had some pretty bad experiences with other companies before coming to t-mobile. Even though they say it's "no mobile," I haven't found this to be the case in Seattle. I get reception almost everywhere I go. I love the customer service, and their little extras that make life easier. For example, I can call in to see how many minutes I have left. When I was with AT&T, I couldn't do that over the phone. Rather, they forced me to log in online.

Here ye, here ye:
I’m totally obsessed with RadioShack for absolutely no reason and this location on The Ave is no exception. The chain had horrible commercials with Teri Hatcher & Howie Long…and even worse, somehow managed to make Ving Rhames look completely uncool. Not to mention after every purchase they ask you for your zip code. I’ve got the customer / merchant relationship down to a science – throwing me off like that makes me verbally and mentally stumble as if they had asked me kill their Grandma. Then I can’t remember my zip code because I’m frazzled, and end up blurting out something like '98bannanaWhat?1apartment3$What?". It’s humbling.
Nevertheless! There’s something about the idea of RadioShack that is the complete epitome of gadgets, electronics, robotics, and all that is good and industrious about the future. The whole ordeal is very ‘Short Circuit’ and ‘The Explorers’. Whenever I walk within five feet it’s like it’s acceptable to just yell out ‘CYBORG’ or ‘JIGGAWATT’!
I rarely ever need anything from RadioShack and when I do it’s only because my dad tells me I do. But it’s still fun to walk in and pretend I have a half built space cruiser in my garage that just needs a little more juice. I doubt the guy believes me when I can’t even remember my zip code, but what else do I need all the extension cords, amplifiers and converters for?

Here is what I asked of them: Take my stereo out of my old car and put it in my new car. Make sure to move the cable that I plug my MP3 player into as well.
Sounds pretty simple right? Well not for these guys. Here is the short list of follies.
- a "45 minute" install took 3 hours.
- the argument that they charged me for a "kit" I did not need took over an hour... before I got my money back.
- sales rep didn't know what he was doing so he entered the wrong part #'s which made the return impossible to figure out.
- the sales rep didn't know how to do a return
- when all was said and done I got into my car to realize that the MP3 cable was no where to be found. This took another hour for them to install, they lost my cable and replaced it with a shorter one. Kinda sucks but I was happy to be out of there.
THESE GUYS ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS! They are clowns.
