I went here a few times whilst attenending middle school and this place brings back memories. This place isnt so much different from the other rollerskate rinks, still has that lingering smell of feet inside the rental shoes. Although this place holds a special place in my heart for it brings back childhood memories of skating through the wind and hitting the hardwood floor.

There is nothing about this place that makes it stand out beyond other skating rinks. One thing that helps attract business is that many schools like to schedule trips here in the daytime, but I cannot imagine roller skating and roller blading to be enhanced further at this rink. The videogame collection is subpar, and the store inside, like any gift shop, is a little expensive.

I am a beginner skater and found skate king to be a little too difficult. The other skaters went very quickly and weren't too nice when I had trouble getting out of their way. I felt very conspicuous as someone who didn't skate well and ended up sitting for most of the time. Maybe I will try going again at another time of day.

Skate King is so cool. On the third Monday of every month, they have a Gay Skate. Honestly, the only thing cooler than being gay is skating, so this is a pretty cool night. The rink is a perfect size, not so big that it takes forever to get around, not so small that you feel like you’re skating in circles. Skate King has a nice atmosphere that always makes me feel a little more carefree.

i remember coming to skate king as a kid in the late 70's and early 80's. we stop coming after my mom took a hard fall and broke her tail bone. we went a couple years ago for my wife's birthday, it looked like they have not changed the decor at all, straight 70's. there was some diehards, that you could tell go there a lot. some people that used rollerblades, but mostly true rollerskatin. great place to go for some fun and giggles
