Anthropologie has beautiful women's clothing but there's a reason I put this post in the home and garden category. This store has WONDERFUL items for the home, from candles to hooks, light switch plates to kitchen ware. It also carries very unique gifts, fun books and even goodies for baby.
I can shop here for hours! (Well, I can shop in Bartell for hours, but Anthropologie is much more exciting.)

That's right - Target now sells Nick & Nora pajamas. This is the best news I've heard since Target started carrying Isaac Mizrahi!
They have selections for women and children. I don't know if they have men's and to be quite honest, I don't know if Nick & Nora even make men's pajamas. Anyway, there aren't a lot of choices but they are much, MUCH less expensive than usual.
Zzzzzzzzzz...nighty night!

I regularly visit Bon Macy's to pick up work clothes. The prices are fairly high, but during sale periods they get very reasonable. The pants and shirts are great, and the selection is wide. Unfortunately, the suit experience I had there was horrible. The tailr made the pants too short, too tight and very uncomfortable. The jacket barely buttons, and the suit is now virtually unwearable. I was very specific on how to have it tailored and my wishes were ignored. Very Frustrating!

Northgate Mall was one of the first malls in the country to open (1950) and it shows. Yes it has some of the basic attractions for shopping (JC Penny's, Macy's and Nordstrom's) as well as chic teen shopping stores, but a walk through leaves you with a feeling of wanting more. The food court is very basic lined with unhealthy food and a loud ambiance. Alderwood or Southcenter (neighboring malls) are cheap, better malls. I am sorry but this mall must get the boot!

Sears is the worst place to take your car ever. DO NOT GO THERE. On my way to sears my car died and I needed to get 2 different jump starts to go 5 miles. I arrived at sears and told the guy what happened and said I a new batterey and alternator. The guy told me that it would be quicker to go get it myself and come back so they can put it in. (Let alone I was the only one there). I told him I couldn't even go 5 miles to get here. He then says okay we will put a new batterey in and then you can go. I talk to my boyfriend while they are "putting the battery in" he tells me JUST GET the alternator tested. I tell the guy about 5 minutes after we last spoke. 1 hour and 15 minutes later he comes in and tells me I can ge an alternator for $350. I say I dont' want an alternator...I just want you to test it. Comes the mechanic already took it out. The service guy says, the mechanic is pissed this is goign to take a while. half hour later I am out of there. This place is horrible it should take 5 mi. to put a new battery in and I priced alternators at $150.

I love when I wander through here and discover that the clearance stuff is an extra 50% off. They don't have the greatest clothes but when you're looking for basics or sweaters - you can usually find things, especially off season for very inexpensive prices. They do have a great selelction of shoes too, and a large selection of petite styles, which I appreciate!

If your low on money and like shopping but can't afford all the name brand clothing then you'd love Jcpennys! There is one in Southcenter Mall, Alderwood Mall, Northgate Mall, Downtown, and more. I went there to go school shopping and bought myself 3 pairs of jeans, 3 zip up shirts, 1 collar shirt, 10 pairs of socks, all for the price of $110! I saved a lot of money! Even though its not name brand clothing, they still have the same style of most brand labels so its practially the same.

I've never been to a Fred Meyer before I went to the one in Ballard. Wow! It's like Kmart meets Safeway. Amazing. You can find all of the home products you need at pretty reasonable prices, and then go over and get groceries for dinner. Some of the stuff can be pretty cheezy, but it's an interesting place to check out if you're in a bind. Mind you, I got a little weirded out buying my groceries there, but if you're really needing to cut some corners...

Well, the QFC is now downstairs, I miss the little shops. I go to the gym upstairs "Golds Gym" which is very convenient, and Urban outfitters is still there. Speaking of makeovers, I have also found a salon upstairs called CITY HAIR. I love it! The prices are low, and the staff friendly, and experienced. My hair has never looked this good. I recommend it highly. As for the market I hope to give the shops there my business because theyve stuck to the market, and havent been bullied by the new grocery store.

$1 stores are full to the brim with items you "need" and items you "want". A sampling of things I buy here: holiday/party paper plates, napkins, etc., (for entertaining and just for fun - the kids love them), zip-lock bags, plastic food containers, (great for taking to parties - who cares if you leave them), toys, (cheap but great when you need something basic), stickers, art supplies, play-doh, wrapping paper & ribbon, cheap gifts, (picture frames, knick-knacks, etc.)
They have food too and I've only purchased snack items but I suppose most of it would be o.k. (thanks to the over processed, long shelf life world we live in) although I would recommend checking the expiration date.
If you decide to make the Dollar Tree your main shopping location (and I guess I'm kidding here) be sure to compare prices. Some things, foil paper, for example, are cheaper at Target.
The Dollar Tree carries more name brand items than other $1 stores I've been in and this location happens to be right by my gym, so it's one of my favorites.
NOTE: The word "cheap" has been used several times in this review and there's no sense in denying it, some of the things are cheap but hey, for a dollar, can you really go wrong!
