Whenever I play this course, I am always scared of a couple of things. Firstly, I am scared of getting hit by other people’s golf balls because the course is so cramped (and conversely me hitting other people for the same reason). Secondly, the course is elevated, surrounded by a construction/railway yard below, which makes a slight shank seal the fate of your ball.

I'm going to go out on a limb & assume you're actually looking in Seattle since this showed up on my "latest questions in Seattle" page. :)
Puetz is nothing fancy and when I go to hit range balls, that's just they way I like it. There's always space, the shop is nice & compact (read - a little cramped) and the staff is real friendly. It's everything you need and nothing more.
But wait, I did forget this important piece of information - there's free coffee! Who could pass that up!

Just walking through the Fun Forest Amusement Park at Seattle Center gives me the willies. The rides are old and outdated, there are rarely more than a few people there, and the people that operate the rides and concessions look like a work-release gang. On top of that, the rides are ridiculously expensive. My kids begged but I just couldn't bring myself to pay $2.50 or so apiece just so they could spin around on some dangerously antiquated ride. Just plain scary - avoid at all costs!

Go ahead, big spender, plonk down that $6.00 and have yourself an hour and a half of fun at this gem of a par 3 course. If you would describe yourself as a golfer, this is probably not the place for you. The longest hole is 115 yards, with the average falling around 75. Still, it's a fun place both for decent players and absolute hackers. We went on a Sunday evening and experienced no waits, except on two holes that were backed up for a bit. Bring your own pitching wedge and putter (you'll need nothing else) or splurge on the $1.00 putter rental ($0.50 for old school ones). The greens are in great shape and moderately challenging. Besides the fun of golf, there is also some inherent thrill in the fact that you could die any moment, hit by an errant ball from that pimply 13-year old behind you (or from lobbing a stray shot and watching to see whether your neighbors hear your "FOOOORE").

I went here last week and I was suprised by how run down this place was. Seemed like a dangerous place seeing so many police around and uptight staff. I was very uncomfortable bowling at the bowling alley. Lots of foul language coming from a lot of teens and made the atmosphere very bad. good place for teens to hang out, not for me.
