Especially when that "good thing" is Denny's. I know this is a greasy spoon joint that, since they demolished the beloved Ave location requires a Grand Slam-lover like me to drive all the way to bloody Bothell, but I love it all the same. Case in point: the above-mentioned Grand Slam. Call me crazy, but two pancakes, two sausages, two bacons, and two eggs, all for $2.99 is a good deal in my book any day. There are certainly better breakfast places closer to home, but only Denny's has the classic Grand Slam. Word to the wise: stay away from the chicken fried steak. Far away.
