Beehive is a great salon. Service is outstanding and the stylists are hip without being trendy or pretentious. It is a very welcoming, comfortable place.

I've been going to Beehive Salon for nearly 5 years for waxing, haircuts and color. I can't say enough about Beehive's commitment to good service. Among the highlights (heh heh) are: low staff turnover; Aveda products; professional, experienced staff; beautiful environment; and Michelle, who does the best brow wax ever.

I was there for about 3 hours for a partial foil and color...which turned out to be AWFUL!!! Not impressed at all.

I have been having my facials and brow waxing/tinting here for the last couple of years, and recently started getting my hair cut and colored here also. Michelle is terrific--I can't believe how good my brows look when she is finished with them. Nicole has only done my hair once, but did a great job and I will be returning to her soon. One thing I really like is that there isn't a lot of pointless waiting around--they're ready for you when you arrive and get you in and out fast. I also love the fact that it's an Aveda salon and they have the full range of Aveda products, plus a lot of very pretty jewelry and accessories. Best of all, parking is EASY and FREE, not $8-10 like it is downtown! And the neighborhood is fun--when you're done with your services, you can go next door for sushi or across the street for coffee.

I've been getting my haircut with Lisa for the past few years, and she does a great job with my hair. I'm a bit lazy and only get my haircut about every 6 months--but my hair looks great the entire time. Usually, haircuts don't last that long. (I should mention that my hair is straight--not sure how she does with curly hair.) She starts with a quick scalp massage, which is always a treat. And she offers great tips and hints about whatever hair problems I have.

As a life-long Aveda groupie, a friend recommended this salon to me a few years ago. It's a fun, friendly place with great customer service. Michelle, the facialist, is outstanding. I can't say I've ever looked forward to getting a wax, but she is quick, thorough and the pain is minimal. Her facials are out of this world: I get glowing, clear skin and leave feeling very relaxed. I look forward to my visit every month - it's the perfect combination of "maintenance" and relaxation!

If you miss your appointment or if you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, you still have to pay for it. The waxing was not too painful. I also received a haircut and it wasn't what I asked for or showed in the picture. Also, the hairstylist didn't tell me until he was finished with the cut that he couldn't do it. I could've picked a different cut that I would like. My advice is to go here if you're sure you can make your appointment and you are getting a simple haircut.

I stumbled upon this Aveda concept salon the summer I was getting married. I had my brows and underarms (!) waxed, as well as my hair and make-up done here. For my first visit, it was a consultation for my up-do. I was very impressed with the stylist after having a not-so great experience elsewhere. The stylist listened to what I envisioned and worked with me to create a look I was happy with. On the day of my wedding she came in early and even helped take pictures of the final product. I was very satisfied with the quality of service and would highly recommend this salon.
