Great little place in downtown Renton for a quick lunch, happy hour snacks and of course, great selection of wines and beer. The wines are displayed throughout the remodeled house and there are two main seating areas with about 5 tables in each as well as patio seating. There is also a "reservable" area upstairs for parties. It's in a nice part of the neighborhood, across the street from the Renton Train Depot and next to the VFW club.
The owners are still in the process of getting things fine-tuned, but are doing a good job. If you see a wine you want, buy it then because it may not be available the next time you go.
Prices on wine are grocery store-compatable, but the selection is large. There is a modest corkage fee to drink your selection there. Interesting and delicious food choices as well.

I haven't been very impressed with this QFC, otr QFC in general. It just isn't a very welcoming or friendly atmosphere. I much prefer Safeway personally. I don''t really like QFC because althought the produse is probably higher quality, it always seems to be so much more expensive. I dont highly reccomend it.

Thriftway in Renton has won our appreciation for their weekend deli coupons. They've made their niche in the midst of a bunch of offices as an alternative for fast food by providing deli sandwiches with really good meat, sushi, salads, soups and a lot of good healthy food at reasonable prices and a place to sit down, too. I always liked their huge selection of flowers purchaseable by the stem or in a clump with a lot of colors and variety. We also like their meat department for sizing their steaks small enough for just two people with an older or weight-watching attitude. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

Recently remodeled, this is a nice place to shop. The staff and friendly and helpful- they always offer to walk me to an item if I ask where something is. The bakery makes great breads for a grocery store and they make good cakes too (though you'll get a better price for something just as tasty at SAM's Club- see my other review). The deli has a good selection of ready-made foods and there's even fresh sushi made there, now. The produce is better than I remember it being in years past, and they're carrying a lot more certified organic foods now.
The only thing I don't like is that the "healthy/organic" food is in it's own section instead of just on the shelves with all the other foods. Since I buy a mix of organic and non-organic foods, I don't really want to have to look in two different places for juice, you know? I just want to go to the juice aisle and see all my options, not run to two different parts of the store. It's weird, too, because in some cases, they carry both products in both places. For example, the organic milk is in the "healthy/organic" section and in the regular dairy section. But the Morningstar (vegetarian) products are only with the regular frozen foods and not in the "healthy/organic" section- I don't get it!
Overall, though, a great store. I also often rent movies there because I don't want to bother to pack up my kid , drive across the parking lot, unpack the kid, and go into Hollywood Video.

They remodled their whole place just a little while ago, but it is still just that same hop in grocery that I have grown to love and cherish. I drop in there a lot just to pick up little things I might forget at the normal grocery store. The employees are very nice as well.

More
The QFC in Fairwood is often a choice to buy meat because of their great seafood and meat market. One of our favorite tricks is to ask them to saw a frozen turkey breast in half, then cooking one half and saving the other half for the following week. Cooked with a tablespoon of oil, a splash of oj, and rosemary and thyme from our garden, it is the best return to Thanksgiving or sandwich meat ever. Also, their seafood department is a real winner with good fresh and frozen seafood -- we once got great oysters, good petrale sole and reliably good prawns and cooked sockeye salmon. Their bakery is to kill for if you are allowed those kind of things. Nice friendly and efficient staff. Good hours, adequate parking.

Albertson is a great store. They accept competitors coupons, which is good. You can take coupins from anywhere and save some serious money. For example, you can cut out coupons from any stores in the newspaper before you go shopping and take all the coupons to albertsons. There also very helpful in there. Anytime I need help finding something in the store, they are there to help. I would highly reccomend shopping here after years of personal experience.
