I myself have many many friends at this school. Its a great place to be, the school spirit is booming. It is very well supported (funded) since it is a california school. who doesnt love California?
The only bad I guess is that there are not enough lockers for all students which can sometimes cause a problem. You also always need to keep your stuff at watch since thefts do occur. I have had a friend who's whole backpack was stolen.

I like this restaurant and am a frequent visitor. It offers a good variety for a very reasonable price. I like that it is conveniently located in the heart of mountain view downtown. I like the food, the servers, and the fast and efficient service. The complimentary starters and dessert and a big plus for me.

As you can see the rating is only a middle. Not the best bargain for your tax dollars. But maybe I only think that because I am used to top notch richville schools. If you compare this school to many other schools of the state or the country you would be screaming for joy if you got offered a spot here. You would definitly give it a 12/10!
The principal is great. The atmosphere is kind of like elementary schoolish. Some of the kids are not too bright by nature.

Gold Star isn't a bad gym, but it is a little small compared to some of the other gyms around, including Twister. The instructors aren't bad and it is a pretty good place to take gymnastics if you live in the area. I recommend it for aspiring gymnasts who really want to learn the sport of gymnastics! This gym is a gymnast's dream, it has everything, so it is great! It is also located on a good location on El Camino so you can't miss it!

Twisters offers classes for children as young as 15 months. My son has taken their Mommy and Me class and he loves it. The hard part os that unlike Gymboree or My Gym, the place isn't designed for toddlers so you have to be extra careful as there are many opportunities for kids to get injured. The prices are very reasonable.

It is a nice and clean child care center and my friends love it. The space is nice and clean and there are lots of toys for children to play with. THe workers are nice and polite to children. The rates are resonable considering others in the market and is a safe place to leave your kids if you need to go out for work or any other needs.

More
Maternal Connections is located behind El Camino Hospital in Mountain View. It is a great resource for breast feeding moms as they have scales where you can weigh your new born and make sure he or she is gaining weight on a daily or weekly basis. They also have an area where you can breastfeed your baby and weigh them both before and after to see how much the baby is getting. They also have trained nurses who you can book an appointment with to discuss any lactation issues or problems that you may have. You have to pay for this service but you get 1-2 hours with the nurse where you can breast feed your baby and they can help you with tips and techniques if you are struggling with the breastfeeding. The store has tons of items for breastfeeding mothers from bras, nursing gowns and nursing tops and blouses to breast milk bags and storage systems. They also rent hospital grade pumps that can be rented weekly or monthly - I recommend these pumps over the ones you can buy at Babies R Us as they are much stronger - and if you are having trouble breastfeeding this is what I recommend using.
They also have a group that meets every Tuesday where moms can meet other breastfeeding mother and share advice or concerns.
It is a great service and I highly recommend you check it out- even if you are not breastfeeding it is a great place to go and weigh your baby to see how he or she is progressing.

Alta Vista is a school basically for kids expelled (or got a suspended expulsion) from Mountain View, Los Altos, or Palo Alto high schools. This school doesn’t exactly have the best academics. The students’ school day ends at around lunchtime. Their temporary campus is hideous. It looks more like a daycare center than anything resembling a school campus. If you live in MV or Los Altos area, you probably wouldn’t voluntarily go to AVHS.
