Island books is wonderful! The selection is amazing for this little shop, especially the children and teens sections! They gift wrap and ship for free, something you'll never get from your mondo store. They're also great at pointing you towards books you'll love. A great place to purchase gifts, they've got tons of wonderful, unique greeting cards and with that free gift wrapping, it's one-stop shopping. They carry some music, a great cook book selection, journals, coffee table books, and some antique books as well. The store is well rounded and they excel in the customer service field! they'll order anything for you for no fee. I love that. The children's section is wonderful. They have all the classics, tons for tots, a fun play house and toys to boot! Books and music on tape for children as well. Definately worth going to Mercer Island for!

I discovered Island Cats years ago as a nanny, taking the family's cat in for a check up. I thought at the time that it was a bit silly to have a vet for cats only, but changed my tune as I saw their wonderful location, their generous nature, and friendly help. I continued my relationship with them when I got my own cat, even though they're on Mercer Island and I was living on Queen Anne! They have been an incredible help to me as I fostered kittens and their moms for PAWS, providing the help we needed both in advice over the phone as well as in-vet services. My two boys now go there regularly, and always receive the love and attention they need, even though they both have "danger" stickers on their files for bad behavior! Oh, my boys. Island Cats will always be the first place I recommend for cat care!

I have only utilized the shoe repair service here so that's all I can really comment on. I will add that it is one busy place at times and can seem a bit understaffed. The three times that I've had shoes resoled have been easy. The staff was very professional and stood behind their work. I had a small problem with one of the resole jobs and they fixed it up ASAP for no extra charge or hassle. Sometimes makes you wish you had more bunk shoes just to enjoy the service.

This store was recommended to me by one of my co-workers! Oh my, what a great, great, great store! They have the some of the nicest, cleanest, most affordable prices! The people there are so nice, and helpful, and the store even smells good! A+ for a thrift store! Definitely recommended!

We live in Shoreline and it certainly would be more convenient to have a doctor closer to home. Why don't we switch? Because Seth is easily the best doctor we've ever had. In the current state of healthcare where you're swept in and out of visits ... he's never rushed (and I know he's busy) and always has a friendly word, has on many occasions squeezed us in when I know his day should be done and has always provided excellent care. He's at Mercer Island Medical Clinic and if you're looking for a new doc, he's a great bet.

I've been going to Dr Reeves for a few years. I think I should switch to a doctor closer to home, but I have assumed that it would be better to see the same doctor since they have your past history in their file.
I saw her most recently about severe low back pain. She sent me in for an MRI and when that came back as showing nothing wrong, that was as far as she wanted to go with it. No suggestion on exercises or anything I can do to help with the pain other than an offer for a referal to physical therepy. No information on when and if I can start to run again, other than her recomendation not to run. No explanation on the numbness in my legs and feet which has not gone away and no direction on what I can take to eleviate the pain other than the maximum safe dosage of over the counter ibuproferen.
