Pretty cool place if your interested in buying a bike, scooter, and wheeled things. Im pretty sure you can also rent bikes and such from here. It's really close to Greenlake which is great, because then you can just rent a bike, go biking, and return it. It's not my favorite shop to visit, but like I said, if your interested in bikes and junk, check it out. Located on aurora, you cant miss it.

A nice sized ice rink off of 196th, Lynnwood Ice Center is a fun way to spend the afternoon ice skating with your friends or family. The rates are reasonable for ice skating. The staff is helpful especially with showing you how to lace your skates better or keep your balance. It is very cold out on the ice, so dress warmly in layers. The parking is fine except on a BUSY day. Skate lessons are available.

The store has many the latest camera and camcorder selections to choose from. Digital prints are very vivid and colorful, quality is excellent. Although the staff might not be as friendly but they are all very knowledgeable in the products they carry. A good place to learn about the product but might not get the best pricing.

The Alderwood Mall has really become a great place to shop. With the addition of the whole outside wing, the mall has gone upscale and that's a good thing. There is now a Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Janie and Jack, a 2 story Borders (although I still prefer the Barnes and Noble across the street). There are now lots of choices for food - from your run of the mill food court fare to nicer things like PF Changs, the Macaroni Grill and McGrath's Fish house.

I know many people like the bowling alley on 164th st. It is newly remodeled and everything is pretty clean. However, I am used to bowling at Kenmore Lanes and I was not impressed. Not only was the night really expensive, I had to give them one of my shoes to rent a pair of bowling shoes. I realize that they don't want people to steal but I felt like they were already treating me like I was going to. And it was pretty uncomfortable walking to the lane with just one shoe one (I didn't want to hold up the line by putting on my shoes there). And then, the seats. The seats are crazy! They kind of swivel out but don't stay put so I feel like I'm going to be slammed back into the table. On the whole, it was pretty fun, but that's only because of the person I was with. Next time we go bowling, I'm going to Kenmore lanes where it is cheaper, has a full bar and less children.

My baby daughter is starting ballet very soon so we went out to buy her little leotard and tights. After seeing Petticoat Junction on Hwy 99 for my entire life, it was the first place I thought of for my daughter's dance needs. Having never been in the shop, I was thrilled to find it cram packed with dancing garments of all kinds. I was greeted promptly and found exactly what I wanted right away. The staff was very friendly and appropriately attentive. Their prices are a little high compared to what I could find for the same garment online (same brand etc...) but overall, it was still a pleasure to check them out. It also saved me the worry of not getting the clothing in the mail on time.
I would love to go digging through the entire store sometime. It would be a lot of fun! Petticoat Junction is a charming shop with lots to offer!

This specialty soccer store is locally owned. Its located across the street from the Alderwood Mall in Mervyns parking lot. Easy to find but not always open (seems that they are only open during the day and not on Sundays). Its a fun place to go to check out soccer equipment or shoes. Its also nice if you are looking for something the big sports chains dont carry. However overall the prices are expensive. I usually find myself leaving empty handed to check one of the big chains or online store for a lower price.

I was very unhappy with my experience at Tropical Tan in North Lynnwood. I went in to start tanning for my upcoming wedding, and decided to try the basic package for a great deal of $20. I told the girl at the counter that I am quite fair, have not tanned much and burn easily. She told me to go for 9 minutes. I was a miserable, red, hurting, lobster for at least 4 or 5 days. I went back and complained and they refunded my money. I guess I should have known to try the lower burn risk, more expensive, beds, but I thought they would know what they were talking about and would not burn me to a crisp. I will never try this place again.
