If you want to try threading (a hair removal process using the technicians' teeth and a spool of thread- not as scary as it sounds and completely hygenic), this is the place.
Ask for Parveen; tell her you're a first-timer and you'd like to watch a client get it done.
The prices are cheap (under $10 each for upper lips and brows). But give yourself plenty of time; 30-40 mins for a walk-in appt. It takes about 15-20 mins per person and there are usually 1-2 people ahead of me when I arrive.
You can leave this place and go out immeadiately (no redness or irritation like with waxing)!

I've had my hair cut in some very upscale salons over the years, but the best haircut I've ever had was from Jolyn, the master stylist/manager at the Covington salon. She is so good at assessing the correct style for you. She listens to what you say and can interpret it exactly. They also have several haircut books that you can look through and find the style that you are looking for. I would recommend this salon to anyone on a budget who is looking for good-quality hair care.

The location is convinient (right in front of Fred Meyer) but the wait is sometimes longer than a typical Fantastic Sams/Supercuts store. They give good basic haircuts here. The quality of the haircut varies depending on the stylist, espcially if you are getting a haircut for a young child. There is plenty of parking.

Today, I visited Khoobsurat in Kent. Pamee threaded my eyebrows and I loved it. It took less than 10 minutes. It doesn't hurt and they have the same nice shape as my expensive esthetician.
How can I ever justify paying anyone $22 to wax my eyebrows, when I can pay $5 for threading that takes less time?
If you've heard about threading, do not hesistate. I am very pleased that I found this Indian salon.
The location is on East Hill Kent. The salon and surrounding buidlings are in fair condition. It's low frills, but comfortable. After all, I was there for less than 10 mintues, so it's hard to recall everything.
Currently, there is construction happening in front of her building (shopping strip), but look closely and you will see the sign.
