It doesn't say it in the title but this place sells firearms. They are close to the whirly ball place! they have a pretty modest selection, and don't be put off by the fact that it looks like a house from the outside, They are quite professional. I picked up a good lot of 9mm ammo as well for a pretty decent price, not quite as cheap as internet prices, but you save shipping money and its good quality ammo, (they carry federal!). Rifles are a tad expensive, but their handguns are not too bad! Stop in and give them a look!

They charge a little much at this store, and i'm not sure i like what they recommend to you. A friend of mine had gone in with me, and they were recommending he buy some less reliable handgun, and i suspect it was becuase they wanted to move the item. Though they did agree to buy it back, but at a lesser price than he paid for it, even only a week after he bought it, and he never fired it. Their ammo isn't too cheaply priced either. I cant say i'd shop here again, but if its the closest place to you its not terrible, just know what you want to buy, and know the going price before you go here!

This park has a winding trail that leads down through a beautiful forest, but be prepared to get some exercise!! It's a great way to get some exercise if you have a sleeping baby on your back, but your toddler is going to have to be at least 3 to make it all the way. It's almost a day trip w/kids sense it's about 1.5 miles. Otherwise, without kids it's a peaceful, natural trail that's big enough, so you rarely bump into other people...

place needs some remodeling and upgrades but solid place to bowl. located near downtown edmonds. good crowd, not too trashy like other places and less than usual amount of smoking, which is now banned of course. usual rates on shoes and lanes.

For a nice sunny day activity, there's nothing like a quick drive (20 minutes from Seattle) to downtown Edmonds. At the foot of downtown just to the north of the Ferry landing is Brackett's Landing, which has a delightful beach. For families with kids, this is the best day around.
Drive up and park in the handy parking lot (although parking slots can be sparce on a busy day) and unload your buckets of sand toys and sunscreen and life is good. Better yet what's a blast is when the trains come by just behind you--every 4 year olds dream come true is to watch a real train go by.
Also the kids will love watching the divers and their gear, who use the park as launching point for the underwater diving park just offshore.
After a couple hours on the shore, wander up the street to your choice of great casual eateries in downtown Edmonds (by the way Rick Steeves lives here, we once saw him strolling around town). Earlier today we went to La Palma, a nice family run Mexican restaurant right on the main corner. We also picked up a chunck of stinky creamy french cheese from the Resident Cheesemonger, a great cheese shop also on the main drag.
For families with a couple kids, this is a the easiest, most fun outing around. Edmonds is a very friendly town and they love visitors! This summer they'll have a Jazz Festival over Memorial Day and also they have a great 4th of July parade that we went to a couple of years ago!
