The Diamond Hill General Store has been a staple of every Cumberland resident's grocery needs for decades. This little building houses everything a shopper may need from sliced meats, sandwiches pre-made, baking goods and cookies. They have the largest stock of various candies I have ever seen, and they have lottery tickets available. The service is always quick and with a smile. The limited space doesn't take away from its convenience. A must stop for sure!
While it doesn't fit the bill for a full grocery store, it provides the extra sugar that you may not have planned for in the recipe or the lottery ticket for the big drawing.

More
Davenport's has a menu with a wide variety of offerings including low-calorie and low-carb fare for dieters (the low-carb cheesecake is delicious!). The prices are moderate and there are fantastic early bird meal deals during the week that include a glass of wine or beer and dessert - you couldn't cook a meal at home for these prices! A lounge separated from the family side of the restaurant makes this place appealing to all. They are also offering a Sunday package deal to take in dinner and then take a bus to Providence for the PPAC shows - if you want a nice night out, it's a great deal and saves you from having to find a parking spot downtown.

There are many who swear by the Pastry Gourmet, however it is nothing spectacular. It serves its purpose, however as far as a bakery is concerned it is only average. The presentation and store is clean and neat, and very white. I have never been amazed by the service or the products. This is not to say the pastry or breads are bad they are merely average.

The Cumberland House of Pizza has been a favorite childhood memory of mine for years. I used to frequent this establishment after baseball and soccer games with my teammates, but now come there with the family. The pizza is fabulous. The fish and chips on Friday's are to die for.
you order at the counter then pick it up at the counter. There are plenty of tables to bring large groups and the restaurant has been recently upgraded and renovated. The menu is the same, but the interior got a major face-lift.
The pizza is sicillian and the crust is very crispy. they also have a long list of savory subs and italian dinners. The spaghetti with grilled chiken, peppers, and onions is my personal favorte.
To top it off, they have dessert from the Ice Cream Machine!

More
The Coffee Connection is a favorite for Cumberlandites who refuse to give in to the Dunkin Donuts and Tim Horton's of the world. This little coffee shop offers the full range of coffee and tea drinks. They serve frappucinos, lattes, mochas, herbal teas, and more.
The counter help is very nice and their service is fast. Along with the drinks, they provide a good mix of muffins and other pastries.
Residents of Cumberland swear by their quality, which to me was fairly decent. There really wasn't anything that separated this shop from other coffee shops, and hence the good rating.
Stop by if you live close, but don't make the drive if you live far away.

Camp Ker-Anna has been a staple for family reunions but mostly Boy and Girl Scout camps for years. I was a boy scout for 6 years, and every year Camp Ker-Anna was a treat. There were canoes and kayaks for fishing in the pond, a huge pool with a flexible diving board, about five cabins to house visitors, and a large indoor basketball court to play sports.
This place is in the backwoods of Cumberland, RI. If isn't too difficult to get to, and any visitor will be rewarded with a relaxing and fun-filled time. Usually people come with their own programs ready, and the camp staff and ranger do very little to plan events.

Every Buddy's Restaurant is really a poor man's Chelo's. The ambiance is unimpressive, the food unoriginal and plain, the service mediocre.
With this said, I really don't hate the place. The location is extremely easy to find and food is fine for the price. There are just better places to sit down for a family dinner out on the town. I'd rather go to a Davenport's or Cumberland House of Pizza, two places close to Every Buddy's.
the parking is easy, and you won't have to wait to get seated. They also have a thriving take-out business.

More
Comparable to Brickway on Wickenden in Providence for breakfast, Egg's Up in Cumberland, RI is my ONLY destination for a quick, cheap breakfast before I hit the golf course. I've been with my family, with friends, and by myself.
The menu is the traditional breakfast, and they serve heaping plates of pancakes, eggs, great homefries, and omelettes. The taste is to die for and the wait staff is friendly and energetic.
If you don't arrive a little early or late, you may have to wait up to 15 minutes to get a seat, as the restaurant is a little bit on the small side. Nevertheless, the wait is worth it. Get there and try it yourself.

Fortune House sits in a strip mall with a big bright neon sign but when you go in it is this quaint bistrolike restaurant with amazingly fresh and authentic chinese food. We expected this to be just another take out chinese place and we were pleasantly surprised. The food does not come piled on a plate but thoughtfully placed with attention to detail and taste. The menu is typical but the way it is prepared does not compare to any others. The crab rangoon is the best we've ever had...it is definitely not frozen! We are now regulars and the staff/owners are just so nice and welcoming. Highly recommend!!! Food-5 stars, atmosphere-5stars, service-5 stars!!
