I like going to this bakery to get their chocolate chip cookies and jalapeno breads. They create a nice yet small selection of baked goods that are always fresh. I believe they can do custom cakes but I've never ordered one before. Shop is small but staff is polite and prices are reasonable. Wish they were open past 6pm so I could get some cookies after work :(

A Wagon Wheel tasty? Here they are. French's Bakery on the corner fo Baker and Fairview in Costa Mesa, has the best wagon wheels ever!! A wagon wheel is a round shaped cream cheese pastry. Wagon Wheels are the size of you average medium pizza and come with a variety of fruits. You pick. Most fruits are preserves, but if you come in early you might be lucky and get yourself a FRESH STRAWBERRY WAGON WHEEL. The taste is SINFUL!! There are sooooo many strawberries you end up eating them with a fork after your pastry is done. From time to time I visit French's in the evening and I have been lucky enough to hit them on a buy one get one free sale. They are never sure when they will offer this deal, it depends on the day's sales, but if you are lucky enough to walk in during this offer, grab a couple for your co workers, it will surely be a hit.

This stores Danishes are to die for!!! They are large, and can feed multiple peoples. My family and friends request French's Bakery items for potlucks, and the cream cheese danishes are the most popular breakfast item where I work. It smells so delicious in this store, and they have some great cookies and breads to buy as well. I recommend this store if you have calories to spare!

French’s has been an Orange County mainstay since the ‘50s, and offers consistently great baked goods. Located in Costa Mesa, they specialize in cakes for all occasions and pride themselves on doing custom cakes. They also have extremely good danishes and their bread pudding made with their leftover croissants is excellent.
