I really wanted to like this restaurant, but sadly I just do not like French food. Petit Robert Bistro is on Columbus Street in what used to be Rouge. The restaurant is smallish with two rooms, one with a bar and 6 tables and a main dining room.
First, the wine was excellent, a nice bottle of Merlot. The bread, as you would expect, was very good(as it would be my primary sustenance for the evening)...The smoked salmon ap was good as well
The main course, which was salmon legs, was disappointing through no fault of their own. French food requires tons of butter and cream, which is not my preferred cuisine to say the least.
To be fair, everyone else seemed to be really enjoying their meals. Then again, they were all Francophiles.
And I did not see Freedom Fries anywhere!!!

How can you go wrong going to a doctor affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital. He is very nice, His office staff is efficient and friendly. The office is always kept clean. He has the best hospital around to operate in. He is the best of the doctors. He treats many differentkinds of problems. If he can't treat you he will refer you to the right person.

Dr. Waters is a great doctor affiliated with Children's Hospital in Boston. He also has an office in Waltham, Massacvhusetts which has only been open for a couple of weeks. He is super with the kids. My son goes to him. He is efficient and knowledgeable. His primary specialty is upper arm problems. He is a great surgeon. He is very competent and explains everything. He is definetely kid friendly.

He is definetely kid friendly. He is gently with the kids. He works out of Children's Hospital in Boston and has just started working at the Children's Hospital in Waltham. He is a great surgeon who really cares about the child. He is very informative, knowledgeable and explains everything so the layman can understand. He specializes in leg extremeties.

It's a very small shop, you could probably only fit a handful of people in the customer area. Since they're so small, they don't have that wide of a selection. Also, they often change the menu items, so don't expect the item you liked so much your first time to be their your second (much to my misfortune, this happened to me). It's nice in the summer though, since you can go in and grab a fruit smoothie or something and keep walking down Newbury.

Finally a place to enjoy a beverage while you people watch in Kenmore Square. Eastern Standard, is the new restaurant affiliated with the Hotel Commonwealth -- a little more casual than its sister restaurant Great Bay. Inside, the place is HUGE- much bigger than it looks from the outside. It has a classic feel with dark wood, red leather, and hip b&w photos rounding out the decor.
Food is good, not great but the friendly staff and the comfortable-ness more than makes up for it. They serve comfort food like mac and cheese side dishes as well as more traditional bistro fare.
This is a great place to stop in before the game. Try their bar menu where you can a burger for less than $15. If you can't wait for a fenway frank, you can also get an entree with 2 steamed hot dogs and baked beans.
Definitely give Eastern Standard a try!

Try the Chicken Satay for an appetizer that comes with the chicken skewers served over a mini-hibachi with a smoking coal. The taste is even better than the presentation.
If you make a reservation, which is highly recommended, be sure to get the person's name that made your reservation. I confirmed my reservation twice, yet they couldn't find it when I arrived. However, the host was professional and got my party seated immediately.
Give Jer-Ne (prounced Journey) a try -- a great place that can handle diverse needs - great to take a date or a business lunch.
