I need to state up front I have not purchased anything from Chown Hardware or dealt with them other than walking into their store to ask a question. Others who dealt with them on projects may have a more positive experience. However, I walked in to inquire if they had a particular item and the front desk reception person was very rude and quickly dismissed me. She did not recommend stores in which I could find what I was looking for, nor did she give me the time of day. All other hardware stores I had trekked too that day offered recommendations when I was unable to track down my hard-to-find item at their location.
Poor customer service leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I doubt I would go back to Chown Hardware.

I know just the place! I was there two weeks ago for the first time. It is called Old & Elegant located on Main St in Bellevue, WA. They have everything from house numbers, to cabinet hinges, to light fixtures to the kitchen sink! If they don't have it, they can order it or find it for you. It is a fun shop to browse through; tons of stuff!

I called Best plumbing when I had a badly stopped up drain that I couldn't fix on my own. It was a simple job, but they performed it with professionalism and courtesy. While fixing the drains, the technician gave me a number of tips for dealing with the older plumbing we have in our house.
Their prices may not be rock bottom but, in my experience, they are worth every penny.

This company charges a lot more than other companies that I contacted in regards to gutter cleaning services. They charge based upon the square footage of your house, not on the number of hours it takes to do the job. They charged me $175 for one person to be here for less than 1.5 hours. If our gutters had been super filthy and it had taken the person 4 hours to do the job, we would have still paid $175. Only went with them because they said they could get someone out same day and it worked with my schedule. Advise: shop around, you'll be able to find a better deal.
