The Streamliner Diner is a short walk away from the ferry terminal, if you're not from Bainbridge Island. The food is excellent, offering a good choice of omelettes and some unique breakfast fare. Make sure you get a biscuit, and smother it with the raspberry jam.
They are open for lunch too, but I have not had the opportunity.

We have friends visiting this week and they wanted to go to Big Star
Diner they heard and saw a review about on TV's "Diners, Drive-ins
and Dives". Today (11-24-07) we took the trip to Bainbridge Island from
the Olympia area, and found a note taped to the door "CLOSED - Will
re-open after first of the year (January 2008) under new name of
"Ricky's". Don't know if same owners or was sold. Our loss, we
missed a dining experience!!

At Cafe Nola, you'll find everything from delectable fish and chips to a crisp, savory B.L.T. Although it's located on a busy corner of downtown Winslow, it feels tucked away. The menu will please even the pickiest eater, and the selection is on par with a high-quality downtown Seattle restaurant. Well-executed, this restaurant is both a destination and a respite from the mundane.

Pegasus isn't quite in Seattle - you'll have to take a 35 minute ferry ride to get to Bainbridge Island - but this coffee is worth it. It's roasted on the island and is simply sublime. There's the added bonus, of course, of a beautiful view of Seattle from the ferry on the return trip - the only way to see the "Fraiser view"!

YOu HAVE to go to Sawatdy...it's amazing Thai food, love it! The garlic chicken and the crispy parcels are incredible as well as their phad thai and most other items on the menu. I would highly recommend it. From the outside, you wouldn't think "4 star Thai food" but once you get inside and smell the food cooking, you can't wait to eat!

M&M deli is a great spot for a quick bite to eat. They have mini pizzas, fresh sub sandwiches, traditional sandwiches and great mochas, too. It's all cheap and since its a gas station deli they have all the chips and soda to go along with it. A good choice for a fast bite to eat.

If you want some of the best fried rice you can find on Bainbridge, you only have to stop at It's Casual. Don't know what it is about it, but it's tasty! There are lots of options on the menu including burgers, ice cream, fried rice, sandwiches and more. It's a plain interior, but great food. The staff is friendly, too. Great for take out dining as well.

This started out as a "different" McDonalds, there is no neon sign, there was no styrofoam containers (that were popular when this McDonald's opened) and it was a tough sell for an island that didn't really want it here. Now it's typical, everyday McDonald's...no better, no worse. It's convenient to drive thru if you need to eat something fastb, as there is no other drive thru on Bainbridge.
